Reaching New Audiences at The Game Fair

Widening the appeal

Last month we had our first experience of exhibiting at The Game Fair at Blenheim Palace. And it didn’t disappoint!

As official partner of the UK’s largest countryside festival, the event was a great way to share our passion for whisky cask investment with new audiences and whisky veterans.

Here’s a snapshot of what we got up to.

Immersive experience

Through a number of events and collaborations we had a fantastic opportunity to bring the world of whisky tasting and whisky cask investment to visitors. Our team spent three days sharing our expertise and passion with novices and enthusiasts alike.

Whisky tasting master classes

In conjunction with wealth and investment management providers Rathbones and Investec, we hosted 17 of their clients to a whisky tasting of the first edition from our new single cask bottling line The Collection.  On the Saturday of the event, attendees were treated to a taste of the Glenburgie 35-Years-Old. This rare Glenburgie 1988 single cask expression is from the Speyside distillery.

Our whisky tasting experts guided guests through the unique flavour profile of this rare spirit, with its aromas of vanilla and butterscotch. In collaboration with Robusto House, a cigar expert also visited us on Saturday after the whisky tasting seminar. Guests were guided through how to match cigars with their favourite whisky.

We also partnered with BASC to host a whisky tasting seminar at their kitchen theatre on the Sunday. As the festival is synonymous with good food and championing British produce, we were delighted to introduce visitors to the rich flavours and complexities of premium whiskies during the session.

Complementary collaborations

As well as opportunities to taste whisky, it was important for us to collaborate with like-minded businesses who complement each other’s offerings and audiences.

Working with The Field publication, we introduced The Collection and whisky cask investment to a wider audience via copies of the magazine on our stand. We also partnered with Savile Row tailor Cad & The Dandy and leather goods supplier Hicks and Hides to hand out leaflets.

Charity support

We were pleased to be able to support the charity Race Against Dementia at the event. Founded by Scotch whisky enthusiast and Formula 1 legend, Sir Jackie Stewart OBE, the charity funds early-career researchers to accelerate progress towards a cure for dementia. With over 55 million people living with dementia across the globe, its work and continued funding is vital.

Information about the charity was included in our VIP bags. Our team also wore Race Against Dementia badges in support of such an important cause. In September we will be working with the charity again to help raise funds and further awareness of its work.

Reaching new audiences

By working with new partners and supporting such fantastic events and causes we are excited about the opportunities to share our passion and elevate whisky appreciation to new audiences.
