THE LEADING CASK

The Whisky Broker Expert

Why invest in whisky?

Over the last decade, cask whisky has become one of the most sought-after investments.

Whisky collecting and investing is on the rise as investors seek out hard assets able to provide proven stores of wealth in a high-inflation world.

Scotch Whisky is rated by the industry body as the world’s ‘number one internationally traded spirit’ with exports worth over £4bn annually.

Whisky 1901 offers an end-to-end lifecycle service in this emerging category. Our experts can show you how the market works, advise you in choosing the casks right for your budget and investment goals, then support you in all the practical aspects of purchasing, owning, managing and eventually realising your cask investment.

Access Whisky

Once a rare commodity and limited to only industry insiders, private investors can now add cask whisky to their portfolio. No two whisky casks are ever the same: each is unique.

That makes offering generalisations about investment performance problematic—while also generating the opportunity, enjoyment and satisfaction of finding the unicorns.

We have access to over 100 different distilleries across Scotland, allowing investors to find the best Scotch whisky for them. To provide some context: the BC20 Whisky Cask Index suggests that £100,000 invested in whisky casks in July 2018 would have been worth £160,000 by the end of June 2020.
